Event Industry People Awards

National Event Hire Ireland were delighted to sponsor the Event Industry People Awards 2016 this year. ON Friday 15th July over 500 people guested attended the  Ceremony at The Doubletree by Hilton Dublin.

National Event Hire Ireland was well represented on the evening with Managing Director Dave Henry on hand to present certificates to the winners of each of the event categories.

2016 People Winners:

  • AV Technician of the Year  – Sean Collins – AVTEK
  • Banqueting Manager of the Year  – Declan Boland – The Helix
  • Event Manager of the Year – Elaine O’Connor – Magnum Events
  • In House Event Person of the Year  – Melissa Heeney – Croke Park Meetings & Events
  • Stage Manager of The Year – Siobhan Kellp MPI
  • Stage Rigger of the Year – Damien Cullinan Stagecrew Ireland
  • Volunteer/Intern of the Year – Sarah Gaughran Sheil Entertainment Agency

We were entertained on the evening with five different acts all competing for Best Corporate Entertainer

  1. XOD
  2. The Amazing Circus Cabaret
  3. Damhsa
  4. Andy James – New Age of Magic
  5. The Firm

The overall winner on the evening of Best Corporate Entertainer was XOD.

We were shortlisted for Best Infrastructure Provider ourselves on the night however it was not to be, Devine’s Chauffeurs collected the title of best infrastructure provider 2016 and a huge congratulations to them and all other nominees.

The Event Industry encourage the companies, teams and individuals within the sector to constantly raise the bar, to innovate and maintain their commitment to achieving excellence in the event industry. This is the premier awards programme to recognise this excellence and a superb opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate with our peers.
